The opening ceremony for the Sixth Phase of the “Civil Society Dialogue Programme Between Turkey and the European Union” and the third phase of the “Civil Society Support Programme” financed under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA), carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Directorate for EU Affairs, has been held on 8 October 2021 in Istanbul.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk KAYMAKCI met with the representatives of civil society organizations carrying out the project during the opening part of the event.
Within the scope of the event, group games and competitions have been held with the participation of representatives of civil society organizations, moderated by İlker AYRIK, Board Member of Laughter Heals Association (Gülmek İyileştirir Derneği), Presenter and Actor.
In his comments on the event, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk KAYMAKCI stated that in the IPA I and IPA II periods, 67.6 million Euros of support was provided to 529 projects implemented by civil society organizations work in many areas such as environment, energy, food, sectoral collaborations, entrepreneurship, human rights, culture and arts, sensitive groups education and youth with their counterparts in EU countries.
