The Syr-Round the Children project, which aimed to improve the legal, economic and social rights of the Syrian refugee children and to create awareness in this regard, came to an end with a show prepared by the children.
A total of 40 Syrian and Turkish children worked for 4 months under the scope of the drama and role-playing lessons which are one of the most important activities of the project. Children who were shy even to play during the first days of the lessons regained their self-confidence throughout the process. Language was no longer an obstacle. Children began to express themselves freely. Their creativity and imagination reached to an entirely different level. As a result of all these activities, children presented a show at the closing ceremony. Syrian and Turkish children gave a message of brotherhood.
Within the framework of the project which was carried out by Merhum Hacı Habibullah Geredevi Foundation in collaboration with Üsküdar University and CEIPES from Italy, a questionnaire was conducted to 400 Turkish and Syrian individuals and 4 field reports were prepared. 8 panels in 2 days were held during the International Migration and Children Workshop. 50 Turkish and foreign academicians who participated in the workshop, published a total 35 articles and presentations were made.
