Civil Society Dialogue V and Civil Society Support Programme II Closing Ceremony was Held

Closing Ceremony of the Civil Society Dialogue V and Civil Society Support Programme II, which was funded under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with approximately 14 million Euros allocated for 69 projects implemented in 2019-2021 took place in Ankara on 27 July 2021.

In the opening part of the event, under the moderation of the Oylum Talu, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate for EU Affairs Director-General for Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation Bülent Özcan met with the grant beneficiaries at the “Civil Stage” Panel and shared the results and the achievements of the projects they carried out.

In the afternoon session of the closing event, representatives of civil society organizations came together under 4 different areas: Implementation, Impact, Sustainability and Cooperation and Partnerships in the World Cafe format and held workshops.

In the closing part of the event, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı talked about the achievements of the Civil Society Dialogue and Civil Society Support Programmes and stated the following: “Within the scope of the programmes, approximately 14 million Euros were allocated for 69 projects. With these programmes, 140 different civil society organizations from Turkey and the EU collaborated by creating a culture of working together in various fields from agriculture to education, from the environment to sensitive groups, from the business world to refugees. I would like to express my satisfaction once again that they have successfully completed their projects.” After the closing speech, the event ended with a pleasant music concert.
